Geopolitics and Community Feminisms in Latin America

The editorial committee of Tlalli. Revista de Investigación en Geografía is pleased to present the call for the reception of academic works (articles, reviews, and reflection essays) on “Geopolitics and community feminisms in Latin America”.

This special number seeks to bring together unpublished research and papers that address, from innovative perspectives, various community feminisms and multiple experiences of territorialization at different scales that women produce in the Latin American space.

Together, these expressions configure new feminist geopolitics in the global South, especially in the territories of Latin America, an emergent object of study both for the study of geography and other social disciplines and other interdisciplinary fields of knowledge such as Latin American studies, sustainability sciences, gender studies, etcetera.

Thus, this call aims to enrich geopolitics in geographical knowledge, specifically from intersectionality, gender, and transdisciplinary perspectives, to develop innovative study trends and analysis proposals under the current context.

We invite researchers, teachers, and related professionals to submit their manuscripts on community feminism, care systems, health networks, territorial defense, women’s leadership in housing struggles, and the body as territory. These can be analyses, case studies, or comparative studies.

In addition to manuscripts on the topic above, articles will also be received for the general section of the journal, which may address any geographical approach or focus on topics that have a direct relationship with geography. All manuscripts must adhere to the guidelines for authors, and to the publication regulations of Tlalli.

The deadline for submission of manuscripts is June 1, 2025, and must be sent through the journal’s editorial manager (https://revistas.filos.unam.mx/index.php/tlalli/index). Any questions about this call for papers can be addressed to the email: revista.tlalli@filos.unam.mx
