Reescrituras burlescas de la tradición clásica en Francia. Paul Scarron

Abstract

This text revises the context of burlesque writing in France (Anne of Austria’s regency) and highlights the importance and position of this type of literature during the elaboration of the classical doctrine (1630-1660). In particular, it analyzes Paul Scarron’s burlesque rewriting of Virgil’s Aeneid, based on criteria such as the imitation, translation, and parody of classical models.
