Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze, in the novel 2666, of the Chilean writer Roberto Bolaño, the fictionalization of the crime. This study is based, particularly, on the two parts of the novel in which the thematic is approached directly: “La parte de los crímenes” y “La parte de Archimboldi”. In both “parts”, the narrative voices take distance from the events. This structure leads the readers to experience the loss of the line that divides life from death. In Santa Teresa, where women are murdered, and in the site located in Poland, where the Jews arrive, life and death are overlapped. Those who live there, are already dead.
