Abstract

This paper will present the interaction between history, fiction and ideology in Memorial del convento novel, considering the axiological and the pragmatic relation
between the reader and the novel. Thus we see how the historical authenticity is one of the pillars of the scene of this novel, and at the same time allowing the development of the fictional pillar, evidenced particularly in the creation of Blimunda’s character.
