El traductor “traidor” vs. el traductor “creador”. El caso de José Emilio Pacheco
Main Article Content
Abstract
Ever since he won the Reina Sofía and Cervantes prizes, there has been a renewed interest in José Emilio Pacheco’s poetry, narrative, essays, journalism and translations. The latter, very often misunderstood because of the ambiguity that arises because a single endeavour encompasses two different intentions, has inspired much discussion lately although there is yet no clear distinction between Pacheco the translator and Pacheco the “aproximator”, to use his own word. This essay is an effort to clarify the divide between the “traitor” and the “creator”.
