Albert Camus: traductor

Abstract

There is no doubt Albert Camus has been one of the 20th century French writers
most widely read. However, few studies explore his work as a translator. Camus,
in search of the tragic language that pertains to his times, embarks on the translation
and adaptation of two Spanish Golden Age literary works, another by Dino
Buzzati, and finally, one by William Faulkner. The outcome, sometimes more
creative than faithful, speaks of his own poetics.
